I thought I didn't have anything to write about today. Silly me.

There's no doubt whatsoever that FEMA didn't work well when under the ... ahem, "Department of Homeland Security". (and everything I've ever read about them make them sound like a Really Bad Joke{tm})

But do you really think that renaming them (which sounds like what this is, dissolve one and make another that does the same thing in the same way and the same place) will make their response to disasters better? (another case of Congress wanting to appear to be doing something without actually have to do any work)

You're making one mistaken assumption, Mr. Copenhaver, you're assuming that the Senate is calling for this proprosed disbanding seriously and intends to get something done. That assumption is like thinking that a nail can be used to fix a flat tire.
